So today I was in sociology ( I know, weird place to have some kind of spiritual blogging revelation) but we were talking about the decline of religion in society, especially within Christianity. One of these reasons was that it is no longer relavant and the church isn't integrating with people - WHY NOT?! Is this not the whole point of what Jesus told us to do, he said go out into all nations, so lets get on with it! There are so many people that need the amazing message of love that we have! And the church isn't relavant - what a load of rubbish, don't be scared of telling people about God and your faith because it 'Isn't relavant to their lives' because it is the most relavant thing they could hear!
It's awesome though to look at certain areas of the church that are out there, I love looking at my church and seeing everyone getting so passionate about reaching our community, just through little things, like our christmas fayre, and the amount of people we had in the building for our nativity - it's awesome to see people bringing others to church, because we are one big family and we need to be welcoming everyone in :)
God's love is so amazing, how can we keep it to ourselves? I heard a talk at M4 just last month on 'We are not excused!' - we aren't, we have no excuse to keep how amazing God is to ourselves, we need to get out there and show people some God love!
I don't know what this is/was, I just felt the need to write it down, so i apologise as it probably makes no sense whatsoever but hey ho!
